Design-led refurbishment for prestigious Liverpool property

Design-led refurbishment for prestigious Liverpool property

Following our acquisition of Yorkshire House last May, the property has undergone a six figure refurbishment with major investment into upgrading the common areas and vacant suites.

The design-led renovation has enhanced the building’s high quality office space and has upgraded it to a Metronet enabled building delivering high-speed internet access.

The new look has attracted new tenants including Prime Site Developments Limited, specialists in the construction of student accommodation, care facilities, and premium city centre residential accommodation, who moved into the fourth floor of the building during the refurbishment, occupying 1,583 sq.ft of space.

Bobbie Johnson, director of Prime Site Developments, commented:

“Due to the fast growing expansion of the company we have been on the hunt for a new office that would really complement our offer. The upgraded look and feel at Yorkshire House was exactly what we were looking for and it has given us a space to really create a new home. Having three residential development projects currently under construction in the city centre, means our new office location is exceptional.”

Enterprise cloud contact centre and workforce optimisation specialists, Aspect Software, have now taken over the entirety of the seventh floor, which boasts over 2,313 sq.ft. CBRE and Worthington Owen acted for Millfield Estates while Aspect Software were represented by Cushman & Wakefield.

This month, personal injury specialists, UK Law Nationwide, also joins the Yorkshire House cohort, taking advantage of the newly renovated sixth floor suite, which boasts a new glass entrance façade and benefiting from new flooring and improved working space.

Electrical distributor Hitec Exports Limited, have relocated within the building to the 882 sq.ft unit on the ground floor to expand operations. With the property’s other existing tenants including Cowgill Holloway, Moore Media and Graham & Woolnough Limited, the property is now fully let.

Paul Dobson, property director for Millfield Estates, commented:

“Our long term investment into the Liverpool office market has been thoroughly vindicated with these new lettings in Yorkshire House. To have secured new tenants ahead of completion of the refurbishment underlines the strength of the building and its location at the heart of the commercial district. Enormous credit for the design of the refurbishment must go to the team at USP Creative, who forged a brilliant fusion of modern finishes that still respected the historic features of the building.”

John Farnworth, managing director of Millfield Estates, added:

“We are really pleased with the market’s reaction to our first investment into Liverpool and we are actively looking for further commercial opportunities in the Liverpool City Region”

The development of Yorkshire House cements our vision to expand the investment portfolio in the Merseyside area. Our family-owned company has developed a national portfolio of industrial and commercial properties spread across the UK with a dominant presence in the northern region.
